WHAT WE DO

ai² Futures Lab™ is an experiential learning program that gives students hands-on exposure to real-world challenges in biotechnology and drug development

Working with underdeveloped or distressed therapeutic assets, participants explore how promising science can move forward despite funding, strategic, or pipeline constraints. The program bridges academic training with practical insight, preparing students to engage in translational science and innovation.

How it works

Students are organized into interdisciplinary teams and guided by industry mentors throughout the program. Each team identifies and evaluates a real therapeutic asset, examining its scientific foundation, clinical potential, and commercial considerations. Through structured analysis, collaboration, and mentorship, participants develop recommendations aimed at navigating the industry’s “Valley of Death” and unlocking value in overlooked innovations.
